An easy walk from downtown Bethesda and the Bethesda Metro stop, the East Bethesda real estate market offers a mix of Cape Cod colonial and Rambler style homes for sale, built primarily during the 1940s and 1950s. A cozy community with tree-lined streets, most homes range from 1,800 to 2,000 square feet on ¼-acre or smaller lots. Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School and the Lynbrook Community Center are both nearby. Homes start around $600,000 for older homes, and range up to almost $2 million for newer home sales.
Within East Bethesda are the neighborhoods of West Chevy Chase Heights, Columbia Forest, Meadowbrook Village and Glenbrook Village. They boast all the benefits of East Bethesda--established neighborhoods with tree-lined streets and within walking distance of downtown. A few properties in the area are newer homes, with up to 6,000 square feet, and have been built since 2000, on the sites of older houses that were torn down. Prices range from $650,000 to $1.5 million for newer homes.
