The Clean Drinking Farms Communiy was part of the earliest land grants from Charles, The Third Lord Baltimore back in 1698. The fresh spring still flows and according to legend, George Washington drank from its waters, as documented in his diary that he "tarried for a thankful rest at Clean Drinking's hospitable hearth".
