LeDroit Park is a neighborhood located just south of Howard University. As one of the first suburban communities of Washington, D.C., LeDroit Park was a gated community reserved for the city’s most elite residents. The community, which was desegregated after Howard University students protested its discriminating policies, has developed into a unique and diverse neighborhood.
