Originally a Special Tax District, Chevy Chase Section 3 incorporated in 1982 as a village. The village's name is derived from it's designation as a special taxing district in Montgomery County. Section 3's boundaries are Taylor Street on the North, Bradley Lane on the South, Connecticut Avenue on the West, and Brookville Road on the East.
